We are a family-run self-catering Bed & Breakfast here in Fanore Co. Clare Ireland. Fanore is located midway on the Wild Atlantic Way and right in the heart of the Burren's unique rocky landscape.
At Into The Burren, we offer you a cosy welcoming place to stay where you can feel safe and secure.
We have recently renovated 2 Studio Lofts and can now accommodate up to 11 guests. We have converted the Hub into a dining/chill-out area with a fully fitted kitchen. A healthy continental style breakfast is part of the package. There is plenty of room for families and groups of all sizes and ages to chill out, play a few board games, listen to music and just relax. We have a large private outside area with furniture, BBQ and Firewok - perfect for those alfresco dining experiences or for stargazing under those clear Wild Atlantic Dark Skies.
We know that you value your privacy and security and so we have designed the property around this. You have a guest-only entrance gate to the house and also a separate hall door. The site is fenced off so that there is now a substantial outside area for the exclusive use of our guests. We live downstairs and are available at all times to help but will of course respect your wishes around privacy.
Stay - Explore - Experience
Fanore Beach with its Blue Flag status is a 3-minute drive from Into The Burren and is perfect for swimming and surfing. We are only a 30-minute drive to the Cliffs of Moher.
The Burren Way is right on our doorstep as are a number of hiking trails including the Caher Valley and Black Head Looped walks and the Fanore to Ballyvaughan waymarked trail.
We are well served by local pubs and restaurants. You can enjoy a meal or a pint in O Donoghue's Fanore or one of our other local restaurants and bars in the nearby towns of Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna. Doolin - the traditional music capital of Ireland is less than 20 minutes away.
Doolin Cave with its famous stalactite and Aillwee Cave with its Bird of Prey Centre are short coastal drives away. Visit Corcomroe Abbey and Poulnabrone Dolmen, maybe stopping off at the Burren Perfumery for lunch. Or take a longer day trip to Connemara or Galway or Limerick or Lough Derg!!
Take a tour with Kathleen - A National Tour Guide. Tailor-made full or half-day tours can be organised discovering lots of hidden gems here in the Burren!! click here
There is plenty to do and see here. We are sure that you will find Into The Burren a comfortable laid-back home away from home where you can relax and experience all that this spectacular area has to offer. So why not come and visit us. We would love to meet you.
