A Place to Pause
Into The Burren offers a choice of accommodation positioned over our family home. These self-contained and cosy spaces are designed for comfort, warmth, and quiet. We’ve taken the time to add thoughtful details throughout – making ‘coming home’ a calming retreat after a day of exploring.
The upstairs of our family home — two ensuite bedrooms and a lobby — bookable as one bedroom or as the whole floor, and you’ll be our only guests.
You’ll also experience real Burren soul. Step outside and you’ll find yourself surrounded by the elements — limestone hills, open skies, the sound of the sea on the breeze, bright stars on a clear night. Whether you choose mountain vistas or sea views, our accommodation envelops you in nature.
Staying at Into The Burren is more than just a bed for the night. It’s an invitation to slow down, see more, feel free. Our guests often tell us that their stay gave them a new sense of connection — to the land, to themselves, or to each other.
Our Accommodation Options
One bedroom or two?
One bedroom — the Aven or the Gentian. Two bedrooms — the Loft: both rooms and the lobby, the whole upstairs. Whichever you choose, you and your party are the only guests. Booking here is always our lowest price — no platform fees.

The Aven and the Gentian together. Sleeps up to eleven, with seven included in the rate. You’ll be our only guests.
The Gentian — one bedroom, ensuite, the larger room
Sleeps six on one double bed, two single beds and a double sofa bed; for five, the sofa bed is swapped back for a third single bed. You’ll be our only guests.
The Aven — one bedroom, ensuite, sea view
Sleeps five on one double bed, one single bed and a double sofa bed; for four, the sofa bed is swapped back for a second single bed. You’ll be our only guests.
We spent 3 nights with Kathleen and Chris and felt so comfortable from the start. We were warmly welcomed and received a lot of information and tips on excursions in the area, tips for restaurants/shopping, etc. Both were very attentive and you can tell that they like to welcome guests and that the well-being of the guests is very important to them. The rooms and the “hub” are super nicely furnished, there is everything you need, and more 🙂 Cooking utensils, games, bath utensils,… even milk, eggs, bread, jam and juice were provided to us. We thought that was a particularly great service. The kitchen is ideally equipped, there is a dishwasher, microwave, stove and oven. Also toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Such a fun space is rare.
Our children loved the 3 sheep and dog Lucky – the farewell was difficult and we definitely recommend the accommodation 🙂
everything was perfect! the breakfast was well-needed and the beds were comfy! it was nice to have a common room where we could play games and have some fun, not to mention the brilliant surrounding location filled with caves and climbing routes! They were very hospitable and understanding! by far the best place I have ever stayed in Clare!

We were a group of 9 and had the loft and The Hub to ourselves … Kathleen and Chris provided us with milk, juice, bread and other treats for breakfast.
The kitchen was superbly equipped, there was a grill and also a cozy evening by the campfire.
We also received tips for things to do in the area and could have stayed much longer to enjoy the Burren area and the warmth of our hosts

The “hub” as they call it, was a great space to eat, plan for the day, and relax. There were musical instruments, great books to read and maps of the local area. The only thing I could think to make it even better would be a toilet, but the short walk to our room was really no trouble at all.
The fresh, warm bread was baked to perfection, and held up beautifully for sandwiches later in the week. Her croissants were also exceptional. There were farm fresh eggs, butter, local honey and jam provided. Breakfast was perfect.“Enjoying the burren far from the crowds”
The host is one of the nicest person we’ve met over the course of our trip, the place is a little piece of heaven, and the « hub » next to the house allows for a real chill place to cook and hang out outside of the rooms. The whole place is furnished perfectly, and the hosts provide so many little attentions that you truly feel at home. We had the best of times there.

The Hub is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, crockery, and dining tables, so you’re free to prepare your own meals in privacy and comfort. It’s also a space where you and your family, friends or guests can gather in the evening for music, stories, board games, or simply to enjoy a cup of tea by the stove. Informal, warm, and welcoming, we love that The Hub is a place where plans are made, laughter echoes, and friendships grow.

Your Into The Burren experience continues outside, with a comfortable place to sit, cook, welcome the day, watch the sun set or to simply be, under open skies. Relax on the outdoor furniture and cook on the BBQ or with the Firewok. Whether you’re toasting marshmallows, sharing stories or just stargazing in silence, we give you the space to connect with peace and a slower rhythm.
